Marouane Fellaini deal to Man Utd back on

02 September 2013 - 14:03

Manchester United have moved a significant step closer to the signing of Belgium international midfielder Marouane Fellaini from Everton. The burly midfielder has told the Toffees' manager Roberto Martinez that he is desperate to move to Old Trafford.

  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • United have so far been particularly quiet in the transfer window, apart from double bids for Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini in recent weeks.

Fellaini has been the subject of two transfer bids by his former manager at Everton, David Moyes, but so far the Belgian has decided to stay put at Goodison Park.

However, Man Utd have now reportedly upped their offer for Fellaini to a whopping £31.5 million and Everton appear to have accepted the bid.

Everton have already turned their attentions to finding a replacement for Fellaini, with Porto midfielder Fernando believed to be on the way to Goodison Park.
