Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho personally blocked Arsenal's transfer move for striker Demba Ba on transfer deadline day after hearing of the Gunners' acquisition of midfielder Mesut Ozil.
Demba Ba was reportedly furious that a deal to Arsenal fell through and Jose Mourinho then decided to let Romelu Lukaku leave on loan to Everton.<br />
"I did not accept Arsenal's offer for Demba Ba because added to their signing of Ozil, they would have been title contenders," said Mourinho.
