Robbie Savage believes 'Man Utd have lost the Premier League title'

Former Wales International midfielder Robbie Savage believes that the Premier League champions Manchester United may have lost the title due to their inability to add more signings this summer.

With only three games into the new Premier League campaign, Savage believes that the Red Devil's unwillingness to spend in the recently concluded transfer window could put them out of the race for the title this season.

  • Manchester United completed their only major signing of the summer in Belgian International Marouane Fellaini from Everton on transfer deadline day, following failure in their attempts to sign the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Fabio Coentrao, Thiago Alcantara and Ander Herrera.

Savage told BBC Sport : "I think the big argument is, have United lost the title this August? I think they possibly have.

"[They signed] Fellaini last minute, lost out on Coentrao, never got Fabregas, never got Thiago - Herrera was a shambles. So, I think United could have possibly lost the title this August like [Manchester] City lost it last year."

Manchester United who are currently managed by David Moyes, are placed seventh in the Premier League table following their 1-0 defeat to Liverpool in their previous match.
