Hutton furious at Aston Villa treatment

07 September 2013 - 18:23

Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton has hit out at his club after being denied a chance to seal a move away from Villa Park this summer despite being told he has no future at the club.

  • Chelsea to make offer for Martin Zubimendi?
  • Tottenham make £85m bid to sign Man City winger
  • The 28 year old former Tottenham full back was sent out on loan to Nottingham Forest and Real Mallorca last season where he featured regularly in the first team. After being asked to look for a new club by manager Paul Lambert, Hutton is furious on not being allowed to move to a new club this summer.

Hutton told the Express and Star: "There were lots of us; Darren Bent, Stephen Ireland - I am talking international players - and Charles N'Zogbia, who have just been put to the side.

"For me it is not what should be done. We are not kids.

"I was buzzing for Barry that he got out (to Crystal Palace) because he is a great player and doesn't deserve to be treated like that.

"Unfortunately for myself, it didn't come off and I am angry about it."
