Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs believes the signing of German midfielder Mesut Ozil can take the Gunners to the next level.

The 24-year-old completed a sensational move to the North London club from Real Madrid on transfer deadline day for a club record fee of £42.5million.<br />

In an interview on Arsenal Player, Gibbs gave his opinion on how the club record signing would enhance the squad to the next level, as they aim to end their eight-year trophy drought. <br />

Gibbs said : <em>"It is a statement to what the club want to do and what the club want to achieve.</em><br />

<em> "It is something that everyone has been waiting for so now we have a big signing to help push us to the next level. "He has got a clinical side to him and technically he is world-class. </em><br />

<em>"He is going to create a lot of problems for opposition we come up against and hopefully he can continue the form that he had with Real Madrid."</em><br />

Arsenal, who are currently fourth in the Premier League table, faceoff against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
