Santi Cazorla : 'I rejected a move to Atletico Madrid'

Arsenal's sensational midfielder Santi Cazorla has insisted that he was offered a switch to La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid during recently concluded summer transfer window.<br /><br />The Spanish International was reportedly linked with a move to Atletico Madrid this summer, as the La Liga side looked to make up for the sale of their star striker Radamel Falcao to AS Monaco.

However, Cazorla has claimed that he rebuffed the transfer offer as he favoured a stay with the Gunners.<br /><br /> Cazorla told Marca : <em>"No, because there wasn't any of that</em>.



<em>"As [Enrique] Cerezo (president of Atletico) said, there was an offer and I was very calm."</em><br /><br />Cazorla joined the Gunners from Malaga during the 2012 summer transfer window for a fee of £12m.
