Vincent Kompany to make Man City return

Belgian defender Vincent Kompany is in line to make a return to the Manchester City team ahead of tonight's Champions League game with Plzen. The defender has not appeared in the first team since the 19th August.

The Czech Republic side Plzen are currently top of their domestic league and Manuel Pellegrini is ready to throw in star defender Kompany for the Champions League tie: "Vincent has worked with us normally for the last two days. We will see if he is 100 percent. If he is, of course he will play.<br />

"We will talk with the doctor and decide. I think he will be 100 percent, but if he is not he will not play.<br />

"We have a very important match but we have other players if any are not 100 percent."
