Injury concerns mount as Arsenal take on Marseille

18 September 2013 - 12:20

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted that injury concerns continue to hit his squad ahead of tonight's crucial Champions League game with French side Marseille. Concerns over the fitness of Olivier Giroud means that Arsenal could end up playing a reserve striker this evening.

  • Arsenal look set to call up Chuba Akpom and Isaac Hayden for the crunch tie.

"I’m concerned the squad is looking thin. From now until Christmas we will play every three or four days -- and we cannot play for the next two months with the squad we have at the moment," said Wenger.

"It is important we get some players back."
