Harry Redknapp: 'Emmanuel Adebayor unlikely to play in the Championship'

21 September 2013 - 00:36

QPR Harry Redknapp believes that Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor would not be willing drop down to the Championship this season, hence making a move to the Hoops improbable.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • The 29-year-old striker has been training with the reserves since his return from compassionate leave and is considered as surplus to requirements at the North London club.<br />

Redknapp, who is keen on adding another striker to the ranks in promotion-chasing Rangers outfit, has recently shown interest on Adebayor, a player whom he brought to Tottenham Hotspur on loan a couple of seasons ago. <br />

Redknapp told reporters: <em>"I would love Manny here but I couldn't see him dropping down to the Championship.<br /><br />"You never know. If he would we'd love to have him, but it would be difficult."</em>
