Man City want Mascherano

Man City want Mascherano

12 November 2007 - 08:11

Manchester City are reportedly considering a move for Liverpool's on-loan midfielder Javier Mascherano. The Argentinian is on loan from West Ham and is owned by Kia joorabchian, and Liverpool's lack of intent in securing a deal for the midfielder could lead to a rival hijacking his move.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • City are reportedly in talks with Joorabchian's ally Pini Zahavi about the capture - either in January or at the end of the season.

Barcelona are also monitoring the situation of Mascherano, who has played regularly for Liverpool this season but his club seems to be stalling over securing a permanent deal for the Argentine.

Liverpool have plenty of competition for places in their midfield, but a lack of commitment could see the ex-Corinthians man head off elsewhere.
