Newcastle United are planning to re-sign Chelsea forward Demba Ba, when the transfer window opens up in January.
Alan Pardew allowed the sale of the talented Senegalese striker during the winter transfer window last season, and since then the club have failed to show the form which they displayed during the 2011/12 campaign.
However, the Magpies may have to battle with high flying Arsenal for Demba Ba's signature, having seen the Blues manager Mourinho cancel the striker's loan switch to the Gunners on transfer deadline day.
Demba Ba has been surplus to requirements at the West London outfit since the arrival of Samuel Eto'o to the club, and Mourinho simply doesn't consider the Senegalese International as part of his plans for the future.
Ba joined Chelsea from Newcastle United in January for a fee of £7m.
