West Ham pay Man Utd £25,000 everytime Ravel Morrison plays

13 October 2013 - 05:02

West Ham pay Manchester United a reported £25,000 everytime Ravel Morrison plays in the first team for the Hammers. The fee was included in Morrison's contract as part of a complex arrangement between the two clubs.

 • Confirmed Man Utd line-up vs Liverpool, Matheus Cunha starts
 • Chelsea quoted price to sign Igor Thiago
 • Morrison has already played in 8 games for West Ham this season, meaning the Hammers have paid a massive £200,000 to United for the youngster's performances so far. Despite a transfer fee of only £650,000 being agreed between West Ham and United a few seasons ago, it appears United included an extra incentive as part of the deal.
Morrison has just 18 months left on his current deal at Upton Park and is hopeful that continued impressive performances for West Ham could push him into contention for a World Cup squad place next summer with England.
Sam Allardyce admitted last week that he is concerned that United could have a buy back clause in Morrison's contract and is hoping to agree a new deal with the midfielder as soon as possible.
