Radamel Falcao rules out Real Madrid transfer

17 October 2013 - 03:11

Monaco and Colombia international striker Radamel Falcao is thankful for Real Madrid's interest, but is happy staying at his current club. Florentino Perez, the Real president, told reporters last week that he is thinking about making a move for the striker.

 • The former Atletico Madrid frontman has enjoyed a successful start to the Ligue 1 campaign, continuing where he left off at his former club.
However, despite Real Madrid's interest it appears that Falcao is not looking for a return to Spain at this time.
"All I can do is thank Florentino for his words but I have to respect my current club Monaco, who have made me feel very good and I am very happy," Falcao said.
"It doesn't seem right to talk about Real Madrid's possible interest at the moment out of respect for the institution to which I am contracted to as of today."
