Man City defender Micah Richards denies exit talks

Man City defender Micah Richards denies exit talks

18 October 2013 - 13:25

Manchester City defender Micah Richards has dismissed claims regarding his exit from the Premier League outfit during the winter transfer window.

  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?
  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The English full-back has only featured twice for the Citizens this season. There has been a speculation that he would seek a switch away from the Etihad in order to earn a regular first team place and boost his chances of playing for England in next year's World Cup in Brazil.

The 25-year-old now faces a race against time to play for the national side, having last featured in February 2012.

"I did say at the start of the season I wanted to see the manager's plans and I'm in his plans, as he's said all along, so we'll see what the future holds, but I'm happy at Manchester City." Richards said.

"I'm fully fit now and I'm ready to show everyone what I can do."
