Hellas Verona manager Andrea Mandorlini has admitted that the club will face a up heal battle to keep hold of Arsenal and Liverpool target Jorginho during the January transfer window.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • The talented playmaker who was key to the club's promotion to the Serie A, has been in superb form this season having scored 5 goals in 8 appearances, lifting the club to 4th place in the league standings.

Arsenal and Liverpool are both monitoring the 21-year-old and could battle it out with each other for signing of the talented Brazilian-born Italian midfielder come the January transfer window.

Verona manager Mandorlini has recently conceded that he may be forced to sell the player.

"I know, only too well, that it will be hard to keep the likes of Jorginho," He said. "But behind them we are already allowing others to grow and mature. We are making use of those youngsters who are given little space but who will have an important future for this club."
