Wayne Rooney to take Man Utd captaincy?

Wayne Rooney could end up as Manchester United captain acccording to club manager David Moyes. The England international is also in talks with the club regarding a new contract at Old Trafford.

  • Despite some uncertainty over the striker's future back in August, the player decided to stay put and is now believed to be happy at Manchester United.



    Moyes said: "I think Wayne has always had the ability to be a captain. He’s got that love of football as the biggest thing because he loves the game and loves the ball and kicking it around. He’s a natural and, in his own way, leads by example in what he tries to do. In future years, he could be the skipper here."
