Napoli are reportedly monitoring the situation of Liverpool defender Daniel Agger, with a view of a January bid for the player.
The Reds defender has been pecked down the order this season, and could likely move during the winter transfer window in spite of stating his desire to remain at Anfield.
Brendan Rodgers handed the Dane the vice-captaincy role at the club following Jamie Carragher's retirement last season. Having not featured in Liverpool's recent games in the Premier League since returning from injury, reports suggest that he may consider a move away from Anfield to win back a first-team spot.
Napoli manager Rafael Benitez, who brought Agger to the club from Brondby in 2006, will be keen to acquire the 28-year-old's signature come the January transfer window.
