Jermaine Jenas is delighted to have got on the goals recently after grabbing two goals for Tottenham during the 4-0 win over Wigan. Jenas has also praised Berbatov and Keane.
Jenas said on the clubâs official website: âA lot of people say that when strikers arenât scoring goals they arenât playing well and perhaps thatâs a fairer argument but at the same time, especially our strikers, they provide a lot as well.
âLook at the game against Wigan. Berba and Keano were involved in everything but didnât get on the scoresheet. That obviously doesnât mean they didnât play well - people in the game know thatâs not the case.
âFor me, goals are an added bonus. My main focus is the team and everything I do is geared towards being of benefit to the team, whether thatâs tracking runners back and trying to stop the opposition scoring, breaking play up, creating chances â anything I can do for the team and helps us win games is the most important thing.
âGoals are a bonus and if they are there, Iâll try to snap them up.â
