West Bromwich Albion midfielder George Thorne has joined Championship outfit Watford on a temporary loan deal with immediate effect.

The 20-year-old midfielder is expected to stay at Vicarage Road until the New Year, with the Baggies having the right to recall the player after 4 weeks.<br />

"The move should give Thorne the chance to get essential match time under his belt as he steps up his comeback from a long-term knee injury," a statement said.<br />

Thorne could feature for the Hornets in the weekend's trip to Middlesbrough.&nbsp;
