Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini wants to beat Barcelona to the signature of Argentinian starlet Agustin Allione. The 18-year-old currently plays for Velez Sarsfield in his homeland.
The talented right winger has burst onto the scene for the Argentine side back in 2011 and has since gone on to represent both the Argentine under-17 and under 20 sides.
Barcelona have sent scouts to watch the Argentinian youngster in action as per the recommendation of Lionel Messi, amongst others, such is the impression that Allione has made back in his country so far.
The 5 foot 6.5 winger is being linked with a move to Man City as manager Manuel Pellegrini feels his current squad is a little short in the attacking midfield department. Allione comes with a hefty price though, as Velez are reportedly looking for around $15 million to sell their star youngster.
