Liverpool eye move for Hamburg defender Dennis Aogo

Liverpool are reportedly keeping a close eye on the status of Hamburg defender Dennis Aogo, with a view of making a bid for the player in the upcoming transfer window.

The 26-year-old was expected to make a permanent switch to Bundesliga giants Schalke 04 at the end of his loan move this season, but reports from German newspaper Bild suggest that Liverpool are interested in acquiring the German's signature with a transfer offer worth £2.5m during the New Year, as manager Brendan Rodgers is keen on making a surge for a top four finish in the Premier league this season.



Bayer Leverkusen and AS Roma are also interested in acquiring the player's services.
