Manchester City are reportedly monitoring the progress of on-loan Elche star Carles Gil.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder, who is currently plying his trade at Elche on a season-long loan deal from Valencia, has put up a number of top-class performances in the La Liga so far this season.<br />
According to the SuperDeporte, Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has been tracking the Spanish Under-21 International for the past few months, and could make a transfer offer for the player during the winter transfer window.<br />
With Carles Gil under contract with Valencia until 2016, the Citizens would require a hefty transfer fee to acquire his services.<br />
Championship outfit Queens' Park Rangers are also interested in the player.
