Galatasaray manager Roberto Mancini has seemingly dropped his interest in bringing Chelsea captain John Terry to the Turkish outfit in January.

  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Mancini was hoping to tempt Terry to move to Turkey for a fresh challenge during the winter transfer window in January, but this interest has diminished in recent weeks having known of the defender's reluctance to leave the Blues.

The Metro reports that the former Manchester City boss has admitted defeat in his pursuit of John Terry, and will look at signing young Turkish players during the New year.

John Terry has scored 56 goals in 587 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions since his debut in 1998.
