Manchester United are reportedly willing to make a transfer offer of around £20m for Everton full-back Leighton Baines during the winter transfer window.

The England international has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford ever since David Moyes took over as the Red Devils boss. During the summer, Manchester United failed to test the Merseyside club's resolve with offers worth &pound;10m and &pound;12m.<br />

According to the Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils are preparing a &pound;20m bid in the January transfer window and this is considered as an appreciable fee which could lure the Toffees in selling off the talented defender.<br />

Baines joined Everton from Wigan Athletic in 2007.
