Barcelona are reportedly keen on making a January bid for Manchester United target Marco Verratti during the winter transfer window, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

Barca boss Gerardo Martino is keen on bolstering his midfield department during the New Year, and considers Verratti as one of his prime targets during the winter transfer window.<br />

The 21-year-old midfielder who joined the French giants from Italian outfit Pescara in the 2012 summer transfer window, was reportedly monitored by Barca scouts during PSG&rsquo;s recent 5-0 win at Anderlecht.<br />

Meanwhile, Manchester United have been linked with a switch for Verratti in the past and reports suggest that manager David Moyes could make a move for the player in January.
