Steve Clarke to soon open West Brom contract talks

Steve Clarke to soon open West Brom contract talks

22 November 2013 - 01:23

West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke will sit down with club chairman Richard Garlick in the New Year to discuss a new contract at the Hawthorns. Albion fans are hopeful that Clarke will pen a new deal at the club after guiding WBA to a strong Premier League finish last year.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Clarke has been linked with other Premier League jobs in recent months and reports of an eventual move to his former club Chelsea persist.

Chairman Richard Garlick wants to open talks with Clarke but has told reporters that the focus right now must remain on results: "Steve is aware of our plans and has told us he is comfortable with the situation. We have got an extremely busy period ahead, with important games coming thick and fast. Once the Christmas period is out of the way, we plan to sit down with Steve and discuss his future."
