Arsenal star Theo Walcott to return from injury this weekend

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott will return from injury this weekend to play against his former club Southampton. The England international has been on the sidelines for over two months as he recovered from an abdominal injury.

  • The 24-year-old had to be withdrawn from action back in September in the match against Stoke City and has not played since. Walcott has worked hard to ensure that he is fit to play against his former club, with Wenger leaving the player on the sidelines until fully confident that the England international is ready to be thrown back into action.

"He has not played even a reserve team game, but I will put him in the squad on Saturday," said boss Arsene Wenger ahead of this weekend's crucial Premier League tie between 1st and 3rd place in the league.
