Bayern Munich are set to sign Breno from Sao Paolo for £10m in the January transfer window. The defender is very highly rated and the Brazilian defender was recommended by ex player Elber.

  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • German newspaper Bild have revealed that the Bavarian side has put their sights on the 18-year old defender to bolster their defense and form a partnership with his fellow country man Lucio.

Bayern's will have to pay that record sum for a teenager after facing a tough challenge from Spanish Champions Real Madrid forcing them to raise their bid from 11 to 14 million euros.

Breno was recommended to Bayern by Giovanne Elber who played for the Munich side between 1997 and 2003 and has been recruited as a scout in his native Brazil.
