Serie A giants Inter Milan are preparing a January swoop for Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov, according to the Sunday People.
The Nerazzurri's new president Erick Thohir, has promised the club's manager Walter Mazzarri with a big transfer budget during the New Year in order to boost their title hopes.
The 28-year-old Serbian International has currently an uncertain role at the Etihad, having fallen behind Gael Clichy in the pecking order for the first-team spot, and this may tempt him into a return to the Serie A, having previously spent three seasons with Capital club Lazio before joining the Citizens in 2010.
Inter are currently placed fourth in Serie A, eight points behind leaders Juventus.
