Chelsea will apparently make a transfer offer for Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia, if the club allow the sale of David Luiz during the winter transfer window.
Brazilian International centre-back David Luiz has been constantly associated with a switch to La Liga giants Barcelona and the Spanish champions are expected to make a January bid for the talented defender, who the club consider as a long-term replacement for Carles Puyol.
According to The Mirror, the Blues boss Jose Mourinho has identified Ranocchia, as somebody to pursue as Luiz's potential exit would leave them short in the defensive department.
The 25-year-old Italian centre-back has made 11 Serie A appearances for Inter this season.
