Luis Suarez rules out January exit

Liverpool's star striker Luis Suarez has insisted that he will remain with the Merseyside outfit until the end of the current season.

  • The Uruguayan marksman has been linked with a possible exit from the Reds during the winter transfer window, following reports suggesting that La Liga giants Real Madrid are preparing to launch a £65m bid for the star forward.

However, the 26-year-old striker has ruled out an Anfield exit during the New Year, which suggests that the player may well leave during the summer.

"I am happy off the field and feel at home, the Premier League is the best league in the world," Suarez said. "Yes, I am happy here and will stay at Liverpool until the end of the season."

Luis Suarez scored a stunning quadruple in yesterday's 5-1 win over Norwich City at home, which took his goal tally to 13 in 9 appearances in the league this season.
