The 25-year-old Dane, who made his first start for the Gunners since March 2011, scored the opening goal in the club's 2-0 home victory against Hull City in the Premier League on Wednesday, and this brought up speculation that the player would be offered a new deal in the near future.
However, the Gunners manager was quick to state that the club have yet to resume talks with the talented striker over a new contract extension.
