Everton tracking Dundee United defender John Souttar

High flying Everton are preparing a January transfer offer for Dundee United defender John Souttar.

  • The talented 17-year-old centre-back has put up a string of excellent performances for the Scottish Premier League side since the start of the season, and has caught the eye of a several Premier League clubs, with Everton considered favourites to land his signature.



    According to The Mirror, Everton manager Roberto Martinez had send his chief scout Kevin Reeves to watch the young defender in action during his club's 4-1 victory over Hearts on Saturday.



    Everton are also keeping an eye on Souttar's teammate Ryan Gauld, who has recently rejected a switch to England's top tier as he wants to undergo his development with the Tannadice-based outfit.
