Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool eye Xabi Alonso move

13 December 2013 - 11:10

Real Madrid are confident Xabi Alonso will sign a new two-year deal to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu reports say.

 • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
 • Man Utd can finally sign Ederson for huge bargain fee
 • Initial reports from Spain suggested Alonso, whose contract runs out at the end of the season , had agreed a new deal to stay at Real Madrid.
But the Premier League sides are looking to nab the midfielder due to lack of negotiations at the club. Alonso was sidelined for five months following surgery and believed it would not be fair on the club nor on himself to discuss a new deal while he was out of action.
But new reports from Madrid suggest his future at the Bernabeu is uncertain and that an answer will come in two to three weeks.
Sources suggest there has been no talk of contract length or salary and top sides such as Manchester United, Chelsea and former Club Liverpool are said to be interested to reach an agreement with the player this January.
