Arsenal full-back Bacary Sagna has revealed that he could leave the North London club in January, if he fails to earn a contract extension.
The talented Frenchman's contract is set to expire at the end of the current season, and he is currently in negotiations with the club's higher officials over a new deal.
However, the 30-year-old defender, who joined Arsenal from Auxerre in 2007, hinted that he could leave the Gunners in January, having seen the club fail to lift a silverware since his arrival to the club, mainly due to the number of high-profile departures in recent years.
"If we had them today, it would make a massive difference. Since 2007, a very competitive team left. I would love to win trophies with this club, it's a club I love so much but something is missing," He said. "I've still got six months on my contract with Arsenal. We are in negotiations. It's an option to go somewhere in January but I always had a good relationship with Arsenal."
Everton star Seamus Coleman is currently being considered as a possible replacement for outbound Bacary Sagna.
