Borussia Dortmund eye surprise move for Sunderland's Ji Dong-Won

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are eyeing a surprise January move for Sunderland forward Ji Dong-Won, according to German newspaper Bild.

  • Dortmund are believed to be keen on adding reinforcements, as the club look to fight for success in Europe as well as home.<br />

    South Korean international Ji, is set to be out of contract at the end of the season, and the report from Bild claims that the Black Cats will allow the sale of the striker at a knock-down fee during the winter transfer window, rather than lose him on a free come next summer.<br />

    22-year-old Ji, who has made just four appearances for Sunderland this season , is most fondly remembered for scoring the winner against Manchester City in the club's 1-0 victory at home in January 2012.
