Arsenal have reportedly sent scouts to have a look at Brazilian star Diego Costa during the weekend, with a view of making a January transfer offer for the player.
The Gunners have had an excellent start to their Premier League campaign this season, but the lack of a genuine strike partnership could hamper their chances of winning a trophy after an 8 year long wait, with the club having relied on Olivier Giroud being fit for the first half of the campaign.
According to Goal, the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger wants to secure the services of the Brazilian international during the winter transfer window, in order to strengthen the strike force.
The reports also claims that the North London outfit have made contact with Costa's agent about a potential switch to the Emirates, and will match the player's release clause which now stands at £32m.
Costa has been in top form for Atletico Madrid this term, having amassed 22 goals in 21 appearances for the club in all competitions.
