Arsenal after Zebina

Arsenal after Zebina

18 November 2007 - 18:08

Arsenal are being linked with Jonathan Zebina in the January transfer window. Zebina currently plays for Juventus and has been linked with Liverpool in recent months, but Wenger is keen to add the Frenchman to his defence as Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue look set to head off to the African Nations in January.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Jonathan Zebina has spent the majority of his career in Italy playing in Serie A, but a move to England may appeal to the 29 year old.

Zebina is valued at around £2m, and Wenger is known to have a warchest of over £30m to spend in January.

Wenger indicated he may "strengthen in one area" during January, and a defender may fit the bill.

Zebina has played rarely for Juventus, and spoke of the situation: "I am not surprised that I have not been playing, even if it does displease me."
