Frank De Boer rules out Tottenham job

21 December 2013 - 15:18

Ajax manager Frank De Boer has effectively ruled himself out of the running to take the vacant Tottenham job. The former Dutch international defender has been in his current role since 2011, but has denied reports that he will soon move to the Premier League.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip

  • De Boer had been widely tipped as the first choice manager to take the job at Spurs, but the manager has now ruled himself out after saying to reporters: "I'm very satisfied with the Ajax job. I'd only leave once there is no more challenge here.

"Spurs are not a club I’m interested in moving to at the moment but I think they are certainly a great club.

"Just as it was with Liverpool, it is to do with the timing. But I’m not finished at Ajax."
