West Ham United are reportedly linked with a loan move for Ghanaian star striker Asamoah Gyan from UAE outfit Al Ain in January.
The Ghanian striker has been in extraordinary form with Al Ain since his permanent move from the Black Cats in 2012.
According to The Mirror, the Hammers manager Sam Allardyce is keen on adding a striker to the club's ranks in the upcoming transfer window, and has made an approach to sign Gyan on a six-month loan deal.
West Ham United have struggled to win games this season, mainly due to their failure to find the net this campaign, having scored just 14 goals in 17 Premier League games.
Asamoah Gyan created history as he became the first ever player to score 70 goals in two-and-half seasons in the United Arab Emirates' top tier.
