Crystal Palace to reward Jonny Williams with new contract

27 December 2013 - 12:39

Crystal Palace are believed to be keen on opening up talks with midfield sensation Jonny Williams over a new deal, with a number of top Premier League clubs vying for his signature in January.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The 20-year-old midfielder who signed a five-year contract with the Eagles last year, will apparently be provided with a pay rise in his new deal, having produced a string of excellent performances for the relegation battled outfit.

The Mirror reports that the club are keen on enticing Williams in signing a new deal, with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Everton monitoring the player's transfer situation.

Williams played a part in the club's 1-0 away win at Aston Villa on Boxing Day, which took them above the drop zone for the first time this season.
