Arsenal are considered to be in the race to sign Fulham's star striker Dimitar Berbatov in the upcoming transfer window.

The Gunners have struggled to find a genuine goal-scoring centre-forward to provide competition to French International Olivier Giroud this season, having seen Lukas Podolski suffer a hamstring injury at the start of the current campaign.<br />

Arsenal Legend Perry Groves has insisted that it would be a wise decision to secure the services of the former Bulgarian International for a rumoured fee of £2million, as he is capable of playing at the highest stage irrespective of his ageing factor.<br />

Berbatov is likely to make a switch away from relegation battlers Fulham during the winter transfer window, and will accept a switch to the Gunners, should they come for his signature. 



Turkish giants Galatasaray are also interested in the player's signature.
