Southampton striker Rickie Lambert wants to push through a transfer to Premier League rivals West Ham in the January transfer window. The England international has decided that the time is right to leave St Mary's.
The striker has also been linked with a move to Arsenal, but it appears that West Ham are the favourites to sign the burly striker.
According to reports, Lambert has his heart set on a move to Upton Park and the Hammers are ready to pay a massive £8 million to sign the 31-year-old. However, Southampton have reportedly told the forward that he cannot leave the South coast until a replacement has been signed.
