Marseille confirm interest in Uruguayan

08 January 2014 - 18:08

French side Olympique Marseille have admitted interest in Inter wide player Alvaro Pereira. The Uruguayan has only started just two games under new coach Walter Mazzarri.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Any proposed move to France however is more likely to happen in the summer than in January.

Vincent Labrune, President of the Ligue 1 outfit had this to say to RMC, “He is a player that we like and are interested in although perhaps more for the summer than for January.

“We have little money available at the moment and cannot do so much on the market at this time although we are working to solve this problem perhaps if someone leaves.”

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have also been accredited with an interest in the 28 year old amongst others.
