Bryan Ruiz to swap Fulham for PSV Eindhoven

12 January 2014 - 03:19

Fulham forward Bryan Ruiz has been told that he is free to leave Craven Cottage by manager Rene Meulensteen. A report from the Netherlands suggest that PSV Eindhoven are ready to make a loan bid for the Costa Rica international and will have the option to make a deal permanent in the summer.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Ruiz has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League since his arrival from Twente in 2011. The player arrived at Fulham in a reported 15 million Euro deal agreed by the then manager of the Cottagers, Martin Jol. Despite showing flashes of brilliance, the player has failed to live up to expectations.<br />

A return to the Netherlands could be in the offing as PSV Eindhoven manager Philip Cocu has reportedly contacted Fulham regarding a loan deal for six months for Ruiz; from there the Dutch side will also include the first option in the summer for a permanent deal, worth a reported 7.9 million Euros.
