Arsenal are understood to be preparing a mega-money deal to bring one of Germany's finest talents to the Emirates during the January transfer window.
The Mirror claims that the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is keen on securing the services of Schalke 04 midfield sensation Julian Draxler for a transfer fee of around £35m, which will trigger the talented German's release clause.
The talented midfielder has been associated with a switch to Manchester United in recent weeks, but the Gunners look set to seal the deal having had contact with his current club over the transfer.
It looks likely that Draxler could be at the Emirates come the end of the transfer window, with Schalke general manager Horst Heldt recently admitting that the club would be powerless to resist the talented star from leaving the club in the near future.
