Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam has emerged as a surprise target for Turkish giants Galatasaray. The former Liverpool and Blackpool midfielder is wanted by Roberto Mancini's side in preparation for the second half of the season.

Charlie Adam seemed to be heading for lofty highs during his time at Blackpool and after securing a transfer to Liverpool, but since then has struggled to continue his impressive development and is now supposedly eager to move away from England and pursue a career abroad.<br />

Turkish side Galatasaray are apparently ready to make a bid in the January transfer window and are confident they can secure a deal to bring in the player.
