Barcelona and Real Madrid have both joined the hunt for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho. The midfielder is one of the most wanted properties in Europe with many clubs after his signatures.
Sporting president Bruno Carvalho has rejected the notion of the Angolan born leaving the club the club and should that happen the suitor will have to shell out €45m to trigger his release clause.<br />
Should a switch be made by the Portuguese to Spain he would join a list of high profile players to have done so including the Ballon d’or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.<br />
Carvalho has had a sterling season with Sporting Lisbon and recently made his international debut for Portugal in the second leg of the world cup playoff against Sweden.
