Tottenham midfielder Lewis Holtby has been linked with a sensational return to his former club Schalke 04. The German side want to bring the player back to Germany as they look to continue an impressive season.
Holtby has so far struggled to force his way into Spurs' starting line up and last summer the Lilywhites brought in Brazilian midfielder Paulinho as competition for Holtby.
The German international is disappointed with the club and is believed to be looking to return to his homeland.
Two unnamed Spanish teams are also in the race for his signature, with Valencia believed to be one team monitoring the situation closely.
