West Ham United and Stoke City are trying to bring in former Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan on loan from UAE outfit Al Ain. The Ghanaian has previously played for Sunderland in the Premier League.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Gyan who has already scored 16 goals this season wants to return to the Premier League to prepare for the World Cup in Brazil.

Al Ain have already been approached by the Hammers about the deal and the club are willing to pay a mega share of his wages. However Stoke too are interested in the former Rennes striker and could also come in for him.

During his time in England Gyan scored 10 league goals in 34 league appearances.
